Weekend Roundup – 4th April 2026

This week’s strategy gaming news includes a full release, a playable demo, a confirmed DLC date for Commandos: Origins, an early access window for a tactical roguelite from the Othercide studio, a MENACE sales milestone with accompanying content update, and a dinosaur-adjacent tactical RPG announcement from MicroProse.

ALL WILL FALL Out Now on Steam

tinyBuild and Lithuanian developer All Parts Connected have released ALL WILL FALL on Steam at $29.99, with a 15% launch discount currently active. The game is a survival city builder set in a post-apocalyptic ocean world, with the central design conceit being vertical construction governed by real-world physics: structures must be stacked and balanced against load-bearing constraints, with collapse a real possibility if the build is poorly considered. Eight scenarios are included at launch, ranging from a tanker ship to a derelict oil rig and a towering skyscraper, with a sandbox mode, Steam Workshop support, and a community map editor also present from day one. The game arrived with over 300,000 wishlists behind it and a demo that drew more than 200,000 unique players at a 91% positive rating, and save files carry across from the demo to the full release. Station Command Demo Now Available

Respite Games, a small studio led by former EA, Blizzard, and Tencent developer Daniel Baumann, has released a playable demo for Station Command on Steam. The game is a sci-fi turn-based strategy RPG set aboard Watchpoint Station, a corporate installation tasked with maintaining order across a mining system in a dystopian future. Players take the role of Commander, designing and customising a starship fleet for tactical autobattles, salvaging weapons and systems from defeated enemies, and managing the professional relationships of a bridge crew whose individual agendas and loyalty levels affect the outcome of the campaign. Ship loadouts draw from cannons, missiles, rotary weapons, and field systems, with reverse-engineered enemy technology available at the cost of performance review penalties, a framing device that does some work in establishing the game’s tone. No release date has been announced for the full game. Steam Page

Commandos: Origins DLC No Man Left Behind Dated for April 28th

Kalypso Media and Claymore Game Studios have confirmed that No Man Left Behind, the second DLC for Commandos: Origins, will release on April 28th across PC, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and 5, priced at £12.99 on PC with a ten per cent launch discount active for the first fourteen days. The content fills in events preceding the main campaign, following the Green Beret’s capture by German forces in occupied France during a mission to extract an informant carrying high-value intelligence, with the opening mission played from the Green Beret’s perspective before switching to Thomas Hancock, Francis Woolridge, and Rene Duchamp for the rescue operation across four new missions total. The DLC introduces the Radio Operator as a new enemy type whose elimination triggers a global alarm unless signal enhancers are located and disabled beforehand, adding a layer of sequencing pressure to engagements set across mountain facilities, forested terrain, and a secured construction site. Ex Sanguis Targeting May 21st for Early Access

Lightbulb Crew, the Franco-Swedish studio behind Othercide, has announced that Ex Sanguis will enter Steam Early Access on May 21st. The game is a turn-based tactical roguelite in which players command warriors called Stillae, with the central mechanical hook being a timeline system allowing players to hasten, delay, or swap the turn positions of units to manipulate the order of play in their favour. Environmental interaction is present throughout, with objects available to explode or ignite and spatial effects including knockbacks, forced facings, and flanking bonuses contributing to the tactical layer. The outer edges of the map host harder missions and boss encounters, with corrupted blood currency collected from defeated enemies usable to access bosses ahead of schedule or spent on upgrades through map events. Lightbulb Crew has indicated a planned six-month Early Access period, with the caveat that the timeline may shift based on player feedback and development progress. Steam Page

MENACE Passes 250,000 Copies with Content Update

Hooded Horse and Overhype Studios have announced that MENACE, their sci-fi turn-based tactics game, has sold over 250,000 copies since entering Early Access in February, and have released a content update alongside the milestone. The update adds two new final-tier operations: a pirate mission requiring players to eliminate the Pirate Captain and his crew with the chance to claim their unique weapon and armour as loot, and an alien mission tasking players with corrupting a nest of xenos eggs hidden within a dense settlement, replacing the previous Hive Queen final mission. Additional content includes new environmental assets for the desert maps of the planet Mock, seven new three-dimensional weapon models for existing variants, and a new Infantry skill allowing squads to cut through wire fencing. MENACE is available in Early Access on Steam, GOG, Epic Games Store, and the Microsoft Store at $39.99, and is also accessible via PC Game Pass. Steam Page
