This week’s strategy gaming news brings a release date for one of the bigger names in WWII tactics, a pair of games now available, and a couple of titles worth keeping an eye on.
Sudden Strike 5 Gets April 23 Release Date

Kite Games and Kalypso Media have confirmed that Sudden Strike 5 launches on April 23rd across PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5. The latest entry in the long-running WWII real-time tactics series brings over 300 authenticated units across German, Soviet, and Allied factions, a 25-mission campaign with non-linear objectives, and customisable commanders with distinct tactical profiles. A Deluxe Edition adds skin packs, exclusive PvP maps, and the original soundtrack, with pre-orders on Xbox and PlayStation carrying a 10% discount. Deluxe Edition pre-orders on console also include 72 hours early access ahead of launch. Steam Page
Sintopia Launches April 16th

Team17 and Piraknights Games have set April 16th as the release date for Sintopia, a god-sim management game in which you play the newly appointed middle manager of Hell Incorporated. The asymmetric loop has you processing sinners below while optionally intervening in the lives of the Humus folk above, a chickpea-based civilisation going about their business in the Overworld. Ten spells, the seven deadly sins as antagonists, and a Masochist difficulty setting round things out. Steam Page
Shardpunk Now on Consoles

The turn-based tactics and resource management game from one-man studio Clockwork Pile has arrived on Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S. Shardpunk casts players as survivors moving through the ruins of a fallen city, scavenging supplies while staying ahead of an encroaching rat horde, with a stress and sanity system adding pressure to the tactical layer between runs. It carried a very positive rating on PC.
EverSiege: Untold Ages Out Now

Tindalos Interactive, the Paris studio behind Battlefleet Gothic: Armada and Aliens: Dark Descent, has launched EverSiege: Untold Ages on Steam and Epic Games Store. The game blends action, strategy, and roguelite elements in a PvE setup drawing from MOBA design and classic Warcraft 3 custom maps, with players defending a city against escalating waves across seven-day runs. Solo and co-op are both supported. Steam Page
